We enjoyed our trip last time and we decided to head back to Massanutten Resort this fall, and this time we visited during one of the resort's most festive weekends of the year; the Massanutten Fall Festival. From family-friendly activities, live music, seasonal drinks to beautiful mountain views, Massanutten’s Fall Festival is a wonderful way to make family memories this autumn.

How Massanutten Resort Makes Each Family Member Happy |
There’s something for every age and interest here! Kids will enjoy the indoor waterpark (and outdoor waterpark in summer), adventure course, playgrounds, classes like painting and soap making, and gem mining. There are tons of activities for kids here. While dad plays golf, mom can treat herself to a shopping and spa experience or much needed quiet time on the patio with a cup of coffee and a stunning view.

Our favorite is the waterpark. In the summer time, you can splash around the outdoor waterpark, while the huge indoor waterpark keeps the fun going year-round. They have several waterslides in the indoor waterpark, some with easy slopes for the little ones, and others that will cause your heart to skip a beat. The park includes a relaxing hot tub area for adults only, and warm water area for everyone. And with dining options and an arcade in the area, it’s the perfect place to play, laugh, and unwind all day long. (They had karaoke night when we were there!)

We were pleasantly surprised by the resort’s souvenir shops. They’re spacious and offer a great selection of items(not just souvenir kinda items...like ugg boots, cute t-shirts, and ALOT more), making it easy to find a little something to remember your trip. And don’t miss the Teddy Bear Factory in the souvenir shop, where your kids can create a special keepsake of their own. They’re only little once! ❤️

A Year-Round Family Destination |
We visited in the fall, when the mountain was glowing with vibrant colors. Riding the chairlift up the mountain surrounded by golden leaves was an unforgettable experience. But what makes Massanutten truly special is that it’s a four-season destination. Skiing and ice skating in winter, outdoor pools and adventure parks in summer, and endless biking, hiking, and family activities year-round. It’s easy to see why families love coming back to the same resort each year through timesharing. There's no planning headaches, just instant vacation mode. Timesharing here means you can experience various activities in every season. Every visit feels familiar, yet new again. We are already excited to go back for snow tubing in winter! Our accommodations were spacious and thoughtfully designed, perfect for families. The rooms feature all the amenities you could want for a comfortable stay. Massanutten Resort also offers dog-friendly lodging and a dog park, so your furry family members can join the fun! We were amazed by the number of dining options in the resort. Live music, plenty of space for kids to run around. It is nice to have a good meal while kids can be away from screen-time and still have a blast.

From the beautiful mountain views and seasonal activities to the indoor waterpark and family-friendly amenities, Massanutten gave us so many opportunities to make memories together. The drive from Northern Virginia is scenic, too, with scenic views along the way that make the trip feel like a getaway from the moment you hit the road. I love that there’s something to enjoy in every season, which makes it a destination we can return to again as our family grows. If you’re looking for a family getaway with plenty to do for kids and adults alike, Massanutten is definitely worth adding to your list!
